  • Vanakkam Lokesh Kanagaraj! First my condolences on the demise of Arun Alexander! Unbearable loss. Let me also thank you for bringing in Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi on the screen. Good job by Sathyan Sooryan. The meaningful use of blue and red colour and apt verses of Thirukural is definitely a treat. I liked the characterization of JD, whenever he narrates a story. Enjoyed it, but the repetition of this storytelling by JD and the dialogue by Bavani," Unakku Rendu Nimisam Tiyam Theren" dragged the story. I felt this movie was an extension of "Namavar". Thanks for bringing in Lorry as a character right from "Aviyal". Hope it plays a vital role in your forthcoming movies also. I think you are fascinated with many things like Yellow colour, depleted buildings, night shots especially with lorries light on and fire. Mahendran, Kapeesh Poovayar, Arjun Das, Ajay and Bawas have fulfilled their space aptly. The reason for liking a drunken Lecturer is not clear. The climax fight sequence reminded me of the movie "Sherlock Holmes" in which the hero foresees how and where to hit his opponents in a physical fight. Are you backing "Vivasayi Katchi"! Master: May entertain Vijay's fans but disappointed many audiences who expected more from you. Hope your forthcoming movies will have strong story content with a good screenplay! " I am waiting!"   • I'm from south and tbh I would say that this movie is not so good or not so bad, a average family movie which includes emotional feelings and a full packed action from the beginning.. Actor Vijay is placed in the next level masses and as we all know he as got huge fan base and thts the only reason it's got 7.1 rating on imdb.. A one time watch movie, if you haven't yet.. Can't talk about Vijay sethupathi's acting, that villian role OMG!!..he as acted out well, brilliant performance 😮🔥

    • This is what i have been trying to say, but then the hardcore fans call me a hater. Vijay is a great actor, but he has been used terribly. I know a lot of people like these types of mass films but they have no quality of storytelling. We need to have a Vijay movie that has mass and class. I still have hope for Vijay.

  • I'm from South and I saw the movie yesterday. I would say the movie is above average and Vijay Sethupathi role especially in the end scenes could've been more powerful. I felt too much importance was given to Vijay Thalapathy (may be bcoz his uncle is the executive producer). Vijay Sethupathi is no less actor than Vijay T. I felt the final fight was shown as if Vijay S was somewhat weak.

  • Damn, shouldn’t have believed this review and instead watched the movie in theatre, watched it on Amazon though, Thalpathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi are just superb, Lokesh K is in a different league all together, truck fight should have been avoided and I guess that’s the only flaw.. Friday well spent and must watch if you haven’t watched already!!
